Last Look Of Summer!

Moment of truth, I should have started utilizing this section a long time ago. Fashion has always been one of the top things I wanted to bring to the table with this blog and my Instagram page (follow @oaknmetal). But then something hit me…if I’m going to talk about fashion and present it, I really should know what I’m talking about. I should know technical terms and why certain looks/colors work and why others don’t. The problem? I have no experience or idea how to do that. Here’s what I know, ever since I was aware of clothes and image – I have loved fashion with all my heart.

I know that not a lot of people can or will relate to that. That’s okay, this post and this section will not be for them. But some of us in this world were born with a deep love, passion and respect for how clothing and accessories not just make you look, but how they make you feel. There is no better feeling than when I have put together an amazing outfit, in my eyes, and I go out and wear it for the world. I feel unstoppable.

A little insider information, when I was in my teens, I had wanted to start a fashion guide for tomboys. Blogging wasn’t a term I was familiar with, but everything back then was leading me to this page now. And I wanted to do it because of how much I loved shopping and putting together outfits/looks. I wanted to do it for the girls that felt much more comfortable in mens clothing. Girls that as soon as they entered a clothing store, walked straight into the boys/mens section. I wanted to do it for the girls that dressed like me.

So, this is my first foray into being a fashion blogger, or blogging about fashion…or just posting images and writing a description about what I’m wearing. I don’t know. But I do know that the weather is definitely getting cooler, therefore, I figured this outfit would be the best first entry into this topic. Because this was my “goodbye to summer” look. I loved it, and I hope you all do too!
