Screen: Big And Small

Hello and welcome to my film section!

I think the title and image is pretty self explanatory – here is where I will discuss and review movies and television shows.

As children we are often asked what we want to be when we grow up. For a time my answer was a spy 🙂 And I would say it with such excitement too. To put things into perspective, it was the early 90s, True Lies was one of my favorite movies, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was my hero (he still is one of my heroes, by the way). My interest in espionage didn’t last too long. But fast toward to a roughly 13 year old Nat, who had her first real drama class. Something about acting had me instantly remember my “dream” of being a spy. I then had that “Aha!” moment. I didn’t actually want to be a spy as a child – I wanted to act. Soon after that I realized that I didn’t just love movies – I was passionate about them. I was, and still am, in love with the way films can truly create different worlds and realities –  that we believe them. Most importantly, films make us feel things. A great movie can make you run the gamut of emotions. The same can be said for a great TV show (I’m looking at you Game of Thrones).

When I was thinking of what content I wanted to share on my blog, I knew right away that I was going to have to include films. They are such a huge part of my life – a really big part of my identity. I want feedback from you all . I want to hear your thoughts and emotions on the films I’ll be talking about. I want recommendations. Share it all with me. If there are movies that you are unsure of, tell me. I’ll watch it and give my honest opinion as to whether it’s worth viewing. Cinema is a beautiful thing, lets bask in it’s beauty. I really look forward to talking movies with you all very soon. And as my T-800 model 101 would say…

I’ll be back
